Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 22 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of No. 36, including the public website, application process, member portal, membership, private events, Introductions, Match Day, messages, and related services.
No. 36 is a private members club for relationship-minded singles. Membership is limited, curated, and available by application or invitation.
By creating an account, submitting an application, accepting an invitation, purchasing membership, requesting a seat at an event, participating in an Introduction, using the member portal, or attending a No. 36 experience, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use No. 36.
1. About No. 36
No. 36 is a private singles members club built around real-life connection, curated Introductions, private gatherings, member experiences, Circle gatherings, and selected annual rituals such as Match Day.
No. 36 is not a dating app, public dating platform, relationship agency, or guarantee of any romantic outcome.
Members are not publicly browsed. Introductions are curated with care. Access to the member experience depends on application status, membership status, eligibility, safety, privacy, availability, and No. 36's discretion.
2. Operator
No. 36 is operated by:
No36 AB
Stockholm, Sweden
General enquiries may also be submitted through the contact form on the No. 36 website.
3. Eligibility
To use No. 36, you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- provide accurate and current information
- be legally able to enter into these Terms
- be currently single and available to pursue a relationship, unless otherwise agreed with No. 36
- treat members, applicants, nominees, staff, partners, hosts, venues, and guests with respect
- comply with No. 36's privacy, conduct, safety, and event rules
No. 36 may refuse, pause, restrict, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe that a person:
- is unsuitable for the club
- has provided false or misleading information
- has breached these Terms
- presents a safety or privacy concern
- may negatively affect the quality, trust, privacy, or atmosphere of No. 36
4. Application and Access
Submitting an application does not guarantee membership.
No. 36 may approve, decline, waitlist, request additional information, request an interview, or take no further action on an application at its discretion.
No. 36 may consider factors including, but not limited to:
- intention
- values
- discretion
- availability
- conduct
- profile completeness
- compatibility with the current chapter
- chapter balance
- member safety
- quality of the room
- privacy concerns
- prior interactions with No. 36
No. 36 is not required to explain an application decision, except where disclosure is required by applicable law.
An invitation to purchase membership is personal, limited in time, and may be withdrawn before payment where No. 36 reasonably considers this necessary.
5. Account Creation and Login
You are responsible for keeping your login information secure.
You must not share your:
- account
- login details
- member portal access
- private messages
- Introductions
- private event details
- confidential No. 36 information
You are responsible for activity under your account unless you notify No. 36 of unauthorised access.
If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, you should contact No. 36 as soon as possible.
6. Membership
Membership is limited by chapter and subject to approval.
The public website may not display all membership prices. Available membership levels, payment options, fees, payment dates, and renewal information are shown privately to accepted applicants during the invitation and purchase process.
Membership levels may include:
- Residence Membership
- Dual Residence Membership
- Black Membership
Dual Residence Membership includes the Residence member experience and is intended for members who divide their lives between Stockholm and another established location.
No. 36 may add, rename, remove, or update membership levels for future membership periods.
A material change to an active member's current price, paid membership period, or contractual rights will not be applied retrospectively unless required by law or accepted by the member.
Membership access begins when:
- your application has been accepted
- your invitation remains valid
- the first required payment has been successfully completed
- the applicable membership start date has arrived
- No. 36 has activated your member account
The payment date and membership-access start date may be different. The applicable start date will be displayed before purchase or confirmed to you in writing.
Membership is personal and non-transferable.
You may not sell, gift, lend, transfer, assign, or share your membership or membership access.
7. Initial Four-Month Membership Commitment
Every new paid membership begins with an initial four-month membership commitment.
During this period, the member chooses one of the payment options offered during Checkout:
- Monthly Payments
- Pay in Full
The selected membership level, payment option, price, amount due, payment schedule, start date, and renewal terms will be displayed before the purchase is confirmed.
Monthly Payments
When Monthly Payments are selected, the membership fee for the initial four-month commitment is paid through four scheduled monthly payments.
Monthly Payments are a payment arrangement for the initial four-month commitment. They do not create a freely cancellable month-to-month membership during those first four months.
Unless a statutory right of withdrawal or another mandatory legal right applies, the member remains responsible for the payments due for the complete initial four-month commitment.
Pay in Full
When Pay in Full is selected, the membership fee for the complete four-month membership period is collected in one payment in advance.
Pay in Full is a recurring membership option and not a one-time permanent purchase.
Unless cancelled before the next renewal payment, Pay in Full Membership renews for another four-month period, with the applicable four-month fee collected in advance.
8. Membership Fees and Included Access
Membership fees are paid in advance.
Membership fees provide access to the private No. 36 member experience during the applicable membership period.
Depending on the member's membership level, chapter, eligibility, availability, and active membership status, membership may include:
- access to the member portal
- private member communications
- eligibility to request seats at selected events
- Circle placement consideration
- curated Introduction consideration
- Match Day eligibility
- selected No. 36 experiences
- other member features made available by No. 36
Membership fees do not guarantee:
- a romantic relationship
- a date
- a specific Introduction
- a specific number of Introductions
- a specific event invitation
- a specific number of events
- a specific Circle placement
- selection for Match Day
- attendance by a specific person
- attraction
- chemistry
- compatibility
- any romantic, social, or personal outcome
Some events, services, food, drinks, travel, experiences, or third-party activities may require an additional fee.
Any additional charge will be shown before the relevant booking or purchase is completed.
9. Membership Renewal
Membership continues automatically unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms.
Renewal after the initial four-month commitment
For members using Monthly Payments, the membership continues after the initial four-month commitment on a monthly basis. The monthly membership fee is collected in advance each month until the membership is cancelled.
For members using Pay in Full, the membership renews for successive four-month membership periods. The four-month membership fee is collected in advance at the beginning of each renewed period.
The member's applicable renewal date and amount will be shown during Checkout, in their account, or in written payment confirmation.
No. 36 may choose not to renew a membership.
10. Membership Cancellation
A member may cancel future renewal at any time.
Cancellation takes effect:
- for Monthly Payments during the initial four-month commitment, at the end of the initial four-month commitment
- for Monthly Payments after the initial commitment, at the end of the current paid monthly period
- for Pay in Full, at the end of the current paid four-month membership period
Cancellation prevents future renewal but does not normally end membership access before the current paid period expires.
Cancellation does not automatically create a refund for an already-paid membership period.
During the initial four-month commitment, cancellation does not remove the member's responsibility for remaining scheduled monthly payments, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
How to cancel
A member may cancel by:
- using an available cancellation function in the member portal
- sending No. 36 a written cancellation request by email
- submitting a clear cancellation request through the website contact form
- using another reasonable method of communicating the cancellation
The cancellation request should include:
- the member's full name
- the email address connected to the member account
- the membership level
- a clear statement that future membership renewal should be cancelled
No. 36 will confirm receipt of the cancellation.
Deleting an account, deleting a profile, not attending events, not using the service, or allowing a payment method to expire does not by itself constitute cancellation.
The member should retain their cancellation confirmation.
11. Automatic-Renewal Notices
The automatic-renewal terms form part of the membership agreement and are shown before purchase.
Where Swedish law requires No. 36 to send a written reminder before a fixed-term membership renews, No. 36 will send that reminder within the legally required period.
The reminder may be sent by email, member-portal message, or another durable written method using the contact details provided by the member.
Members are responsible for keeping their contact details current and checking their email, including spam or junk folders.
Failure by No. 36 to provide a legally required automatic-renewal reminder may give the member rights under applicable law.
12. Refund Policy for Membership
Except where required by applicable law, payments for an active or completed membership period are non-refundable.
Membership fees are not normally refundable because of:
- change of mind after any applicable withdrawal period
- lack of personal use
- failure to attend events
- inability to attend events
- dissatisfaction with a specific event, Introduction, Circle, member, or experience
- failure to form a romantic relationship
- failure to receive a specific Introduction
- personal schedule changes
- relocation
- choosing not to use the member portal or member services
- suspension or termination resulting from the member's breach of these Terms or the Code of Conduct
Where No. 36 materially fails to provide the contracted membership service, the member retains any remedies available under mandatory consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Right of Withdrawal and Consumer Rights
A consumer who purchases membership online may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under applicable Swedish and EU consumer law.
The withdrawal period is calculated in accordance with applicable law.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the member must send No. 36 a clear statement before the withdrawal period expires.
The statement should include:
- the member's full name
- the email address connected to the account
- the date of purchase
- the membership type
- a clear statement that the member wishes to withdraw from the membership agreement
No specific wording is required.
Membership beginning during the withdrawal period
Where membership services are to begin before the statutory withdrawal period has expired, No. 36 may ask the member to expressly request that performance begins during that period.
If the member withdraws after services have begun at their express request, No. 36 may be entitled to retain or charge an amount proportionate to the services provided before the withdrawal request was received.
No proportionate amount will be charged where the legal requirements for doing so have not been met.
Any amount that must be refunded will be returned in accordance with applicable law, normally using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.
The right of withdrawal generally applies to the original distance contract and does not automatically arise again each time an existing membership renews.
Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory right that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Failed Payments
Payments may be processed through an approved third-party payment provider.
If a scheduled payment:
- fails
- is declined
- is reversed
- is disputed
- is charged back
- cannot otherwise be collected
No. 36 may:
- retry the payment
- request an alternative payment method
- pause or restrict member access
- suspend event eligibility
- suspend Circle placement
- suspend Introduction or Match Day eligibility
- collect amounts that are validly due
- terminate the membership where the payment issue remains unresolved
A failed payment does not automatically cancel the membership or remove amounts validly due for the current commitment or membership period.
No. 36 will not activate paid membership access based on an unpaid or unsuccessful payment.
15. Changing Membership Level or Payment Option
A request to change membership level or payment option is subject to approval by No. 36.
Unless No. 36 confirms otherwise in writing:
- a change takes effect from the next membership period
- the current membership period and payment obligations remain unchanged
- requesting a lower membership level does not create a partial refund or credit
- any amount due for an immediate upgrade must be disclosed and accepted before it is charged
Moving between Residence, Dual Residence, and Black Membership may depend on:
- availability
- eligibility
- location
- chapter
- member status
- No. 36's approval
A change from Monthly Payments to Pay in Full, or from Pay in Full to Monthly Payments, will normally apply from the next renewal period.
16. Pause, Restriction, Suspension, or Termination
No. 36 may pause, restrict, suspend, or terminate access if a member:
- breaches these Terms
- breaches the Code of Conduct
- provides false or misleading information
- shares private club information
- behaves disrespectfully or unsafely
- harasses, pressures, threatens, or harms another person
- misuses Introductions, events, messages, or private information
- attempts to bypass platform rules or security
- fails to make payments that are validly due
- acts in a way that damages the trust, safety, privacy, quality, or atmosphere of No. 36
Where access is paused, restricted, suspended, or terminated because of member conduct, fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Termination of access does not remove payment obligations already validly incurred before termination.
No. 36 will act reasonably and proportionately, taking into account the seriousness of the circumstances and any immediate safety or privacy concerns.
17. Events and Social Calendar
No. 36 may host:
- private dinners
- salons
- Circle gatherings
- music-led evenings
- themed nights
- member experiences
- other private events
Events may be limited by:
- capacity
- chapter
- membership level
- Circle
- invitation
- RSVP approval
- member readiness
- safety
- balance of the room
- No. 36's discretion
Requesting a seat does not guarantee attendance.
No. 36 may approve, decline, waitlist, cancel, or revoke an RSVP to protect the quality, privacy, balance, safety, and atmosphere of the event.
18. Event Fees and Refunds
No. 36 events are curated, capacity-limited, and often connected to a specific date, time, venue, or period.
Unless required by applicable law or otherwise stated during booking, event fees are non-refundable.
Event fees are not normally refundable because of:
- change of mind
- late arrival
- no-show
- personal schedule conflict
- inability to attend
- dissatisfaction with the guest list, venue, seating, format, or atmosphere
- failure to form a romantic or social connection
- failure to meet a specific person
- removal from an event because of conduct
If No. 36 cancels an event, No. 36 may offer, depending on the circumstances and applicable law:
- transfer to another event
- account credit
- refund
No. 36 is not responsible for personal travel, accommodation, childcare, clothing, or other personal costs connected to an event, except where required by law.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory cancellation or withdrawal rights that may apply to the specific event purchase.
19. Event Location and Privacy
Some event locations are private and may be released only:
- after RSVP approval
- shortly before the event
- at No. 36's discretion
Members must not publicly share:
- private venues
- addresses
- guest lists
- seating plans
- non-public event details
- private photos or videos
- member names or identities
- confidential communications
No. 36 may revoke event access where privacy rules are breached.
20. RSVP and Attendance Conduct
Members should cancel as early as possible if they cannot attend.
Repeated late cancellations, no-shows, or disruptive event behaviour may affect:
- future invitations
- Circle placement
- RSVP approval
- Match Day eligibility
- membership status
Members must follow:
- event rules
- dress codes
- arrival instructions
- venue rules
- reasonable instructions from No. 36 staff and hosts
21. Introductions
No. 36 may use information provided through the member profile, Chemistry Profile, and participation in the club to identify members we believe may be suitable to meet.
Where No. 36 identifies a potential Introduction, we may invite a member to attend a selected No. 36 event or gathering where an in-person Introduction may take place.
A member may be asked to confirm whether they are available to attend the selected event.
A response regarding availability relates only to attendance at that event and does not constitute acceptance or rejection of another member.
The identity of the member connected to an Introduction may remain confidential until No. 36 makes the Introduction in person.
Where both members are available to attend, No. 36 may arrange for a No. 36 Host to make the Introduction at the event.
If the selected event does not work for either member, No. 36 may:
- invite the members to another published event
- postpone the Introduction
- close the Introduction
- take another reasonable administrative action
No. 36 does not guarantee:
- attraction
- compatibility
- a relationship
- contact between members
- continued conversation
- any specific romantic, social, or personal outcome
A member's inability to attend a selected event, or a decision by No. 36 to postpone, reschedule, or close an Introduction, does not create a right to a refund.
22. Match Day
Match Day is a selected No. 36 member experience.
Registration or interest in Match Day does not guarantee:
- selection
- pairing
- attendance
- an Introduction
- a romantic outcome
No. 36 may select, waitlist, decline, pair, unpair, or remove members from Match Day at its discretion.
For Match Day, No. 36 may consider:
- member status
- readiness
- preferences
- prior Introductions
- prior pairings
- event behaviour
- safety
- fit
- chapter balance
- curation judgement
Details of Match Day pairings and format may be released only when No. 36 considers it appropriate.
23. Nominations
Active members may be permitted to nominate another person for consideration.
A nomination does not guarantee that the nominee will be:
- contacted
- accepted
- invited
- approved
No. 36 may review, contact, decline, close, or convert a nomination into an application at its discretion.
Members must only nominate people whom they reasonably believe may be suitable for No. 36.
24. Member Information and Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current, and honest information.
You must update No. 36 if important information changes, including:
- relationship status
- availability
- contact information
- safety concerns
- information that may affect Introductions or event participation
Providing false, misleading, incomplete, or materially outdated information may result in:
- declined application
- restricted access
- suspension
- termination
- removal from events
25. Photos and Profile Content
You must only upload photos and content that belong to you or that you have the right to use.
You must not upload:
- fake photos
- misleading photos
- photos of another person presented as you
- offensive content
- explicit content
- illegal content
- content that violates another person's rights
No. 36 may approve, reject, remove, hide, or request replacement of photos or profile content.
26. Privacy and Confidentiality
No. 36 is built around discretion.
You agree not to disclose or share confidential No. 36 information, including:
- member identities
- private Introductions
- event locations
- guest lists
- Circle details
- Match Day details
- screenshots from the member portal
- private administrative communications
- private member information
This duty continues after your membership ends.
Nothing in this section prevents a person from:
- reporting unlawful behaviour
- seeking legal advice
- contacting a public authority
- exercising rights under applicable law
27. Code of Conduct
Members, applicants, nominees, and guests must behave with respect, maturity, and discretion.
You must not:
- harass, abuse, stalk, threaten, pressure, or intimidate another person
- discriminate based on legally protected characteristics
- share private information without consent
- record, photograph, or publish private club moments without permission
- act aggressively or disruptively at events
- misuse alcohol or substances in a way that affects safety or comfort
- contact another person outside clearly communicated boundaries
- use No. 36 for unauthorised business solicitation, recruitment, promotion, or financial requests
- damage the trust, safety, or privacy of No. 36 or its members
No. 36 may act immediately where safety or privacy is at risk.
28. No Guarantee of Romantic Outcome
No. 36 provides access to a curated private member experience.
No. 36 does not guarantee:
- love
- romance
- attraction
- chemistry
- compatibility
- a relationship
- marriage
- a specific number of dates
- a specific number of Introductions
- a specific member experience
- attendance by a specific person
- acceptance by another member
Membership is not a purchase of a romantic outcome.
29. Platform Availability
No. 36 may update, change, pause, remove, or replace parts of the:
- website
- member portal
- dashboard
- events
- features
- services
No. 36 does not guarantee uninterrupted platform access.
Temporary technical issues, maintenance, security work, or minor feature changes do not create a right to a refund unless required by law.
No. 36 will take reasonable steps to address material service interruptions.
30. Intellectual Property
The No. 36 name, brand, design, copy, platform, visual identity, event concepts, member experience, materials, and content belong to No. 36 or its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, imitate, commercially exploit, or reuse No. 36 materials without written permission.
Limited personal use of materials provided through an active membership does not transfer any intellectual-property rights to the member.
31. User Content Licence
By submitting profile content, application answers, photos, preferences, or other content, you give No. 36 a limited right to use that content as reasonably necessary to:
- operate the service
- review your application
- administer membership
- curate Introductions
- organise events
- moderate safety
- communicate with you
- comply with legal obligations
This licence is non-exclusive and limited to the purposes of operating and protecting No. 36.
No. 36 will not use private member content publicly for marketing without permission or another lawful basis.
32. Personal Data
No. 36 processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains:
- what personal data is collected
- why it is used
- the legal basis for processing
- how long it is stored
- who may receive it
- what data-protection rights are available
You should review the Privacy Policy before using No. 36.
33. Communications
No. 36 may contact you by:
- member-portal message
- in-app message
- telephone
- other contact details you provide
Service communications may include:
- application updates
- membership invitations
- purchase confirmations
- payment reminders
- renewal reminders
- cancellation confirmations
- event invitations
- RSVP updates
- Introduction updates
- Match Day updates
- safety notices
- account notices
- material updates to the service or Terms
You are responsible for keeping your contact information current.
Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law and your communication preferences.
34. Payments
Payments may be processed by approved third-party payment providers, including Stripe.
No. 36 does not directly store full payment-card details where those details are securely handled by the payment provider.
Available payment methods may depend on:
- device
- browser
- location
- currency
- payment-provider eligibility
- membership-payment structure
Payment confirmation is required before paid membership or event access is activated.
By purchasing a recurring membership, you authorise the payment provider to collect:
- the initial payment
- remaining scheduled monthly payments during the initial four-month commitment
- future monthly renewal payments where Monthly Payments are selected
- future four-month renewal payments where Pay in Full is selected
Before payment is confirmed, the member will be shown:
- membership level
- payment option
- amount due immediately
- payment interval
- renewal information
- applicable membership commitment
If a payment fails, is reversed, disputed, refunded, or flagged for review, No. 36 may pause or restrict access while the issue is investigated.
35. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a payment was made in error, you should first contact No. 36 so that the matter can be investigated.
Nothing in these Terms removes a member's legal right to contact their bank, payment provider, or public authority.
If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated while the member continues to use paid No. 36 services, No. 36 may pause access while the payment dispute is reviewed.
Fraudulent or knowingly abusive payment disputes may result in membership termination.
A legitimate payment complaint or exercise of a consumer right will not by itself be treated as misconduct.
36. Third-Party Venues and Partners
No. 36 events may take place at third-party venues or involve third-party partners.
Members must follow reasonable venue rules and partner requirements.
No. 36 is not responsible for independent third-party acts, omissions, products, services, or venue conditions beyond the responsibility imposed on No. 36 by applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits No. 36's responsibility for selecting and administering third-party services where such responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
37. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, No. 36 is not liable for:
- indirect loss
- loss of opportunity
- emotional disappointment
- loss of an expected romantic outcome
- loss of an expected social outcome
- personal costs voluntarily incurred in connection with membership, events, Introductions, or platform use
No. 36 does not accept responsibility for decisions or conduct of individual members outside No. 36's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability arising from:
- intentional misconduct
- gross negligence
- personal injury where liability cannot be excluded
- mandatory consumer rights
38. Changes to Membership Services
No. 36 may develop or update its member experiences, features, event formats, Circle structure, Introduction process, or platform.
Minor or beneficial changes may take effect without individual acceptance.
No. 36 will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes that negatively affect an active member's paid membership, contractual rights, or price, where required by law.
A material price increase will not be charged without the required notice and contractual basis.
Where applicable law gives a member the right to terminate because of a material change, that right will not be limited by these Terms.
39. Changes to These Terms
No. 36 may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, No. 36 may notify members through:
- member-portal notice
- in-app message
- another durable written method
Changes will not retrospectively remove mandatory rights or materially alter an already-paid membership period without a lawful basis.
Continued use of No. 36 after validly notified changes take effect may constitute acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
Where express acceptance is legally required, No. 36 will request it.
40. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
The invalid provision will be interpreted or adjusted only to the extent necessary to make it lawful and enforceable, where permitted.
41. No Waiver
A failure or delay by No. 36 in enforcing a provision of these Terms does not mean that No. 36 has waived that provision or any related right.
42. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules provide otherwise.
If a dispute arises, the member should first contact No. 36 so that the parties can attempt to resolve the matter in good faith.
A Swedish consumer may have the right to refer an eligible dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN).
A consumer may also have the right to bring a claim before a competent court or use another legally available dispute-resolution procedure.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights or dispute-resolution rights under Swedish or EU law.
43. Contact
For questions, cancellations, withdrawal requests, payment matters, complaints, or concerns relating to these Terms, contact:
No36 AB
Email: use the contact link on the No. 36 website
Contact form: available on the No. 36 website
Members should retain copies of cancellation, withdrawal, and complaint communications.
